Fleet manufacturers receive security awards

The bigwigs from the commercial van insurance world were in attendance this week as the British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards took place.

German manufacturer Audi took the most prestigious award, Car Manufacturer of the Year, after nine of its models met award criteria.

Commercial van insurance specialists handed out the inaugural Van Manufacturer Award to Citroen after evaluating the security systems in place in the range of its vans, including the Dispatch, Relay, Berlingo, C-Crosser Enterprise and C2 Enterprise.

Other manufacturers of typical fleet vehicles to earn accolades from the commercial van insurance world were Renault, for its Traffic heavy van, Peugeot, for its light 207 and Mitsubishi, for its L200 Pickup.
