One unlucky van insurance customer from London suffered a nasty collision yesterday when his van crashed into a double-decker bus in the Notting Hill area of the city.
The bus then ploughed off the road into a nearby antiques shop. Photographs of this have ensured the incident has attracted headlines in the national press.
Although the bus and van driver, as well as eight passengers, were treated for shock and minor injuries, no-one is thought to have suffered serious injury. It is likely that the van driver will now have to make a claim on his van insurance policy.
A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police Service commented on the incident, "We were called at 10.59am to reports of a bus in collision with a van and then a shop.
"Ten people had minor injuries, including both the male driver of the bus and the van.
"The remaining eight injured were passengers on the bus. The cause of the collision is being investigated. no one has been arrested."
Coincidentally, it is reported that the commercial vehicle driver works in the insurance sector, however he is thought to specialise in home insurance rather than van insurance.
