Once a van driver has found the business van insurance he's been looking for, the next important thing to do is to stay safe on the roads so that he can keep his no claims bonus and avoid injury to himself or others.
A leading insurance company has carried out research which has uncovered that a little over a fifth of all UK van drivers do not have adequate enough eyesight to be behind the wheel.
The firm questioned 1,200 of its online customers, and found that 19% of them had not undergone a necessary eye test, therefore putting themselves and other road users at risk of a road traffic accident.
Drivers in Britain who cannot see a number plate at a distance of 20 metres should either not be driving, or always wear vision correcting contact lenses or glasses when on the road.
Any motorist caught driving without the necessary corrective lenses could be fined and receive three points on their licence which may make it difficult in the future to find business van insurance.
