Already accustomed to unfair prejudice, most van insurance policyholders will probably be unsurprised to learn that of all drivers they are considered "the worst on the road".
This revelation came in an Auto Trader Compare poll, with a staggering 100% of motorists believing the White Man Van to be the worst of all drivers.
Not far behind the typical van insurance customer were the young, the old and the school-run mum.
Auto Trader did little to address the prejudice; its marketing director commented, "It's good that most motorists recognise bad driving habits, both in themselves and other road users. However, the important thing is that motorists change these bad driving habits because with the rising cost of motoring, it is well worth driving responsibly to stay safe and ensure your insurance premiums stay low. Remember that you must report all points on your license to your insurance company, otherwise your policy could be invalidated."
Van insurance holders weren't the only group to fare badly in the poll; BMW drivers, who were voted the worst of all car drivers, were also on the receiving end of some poor feedback.
