A crash in Duxford in Cambridge might result in one driver not being able to find cheap white van insurance in the future.
The accident occurred early in the morning along the A505 when a car and Vauxhall Combo van collided with one another.
A spokesman for the Cambridgeshire Police said of the incident, "Both vehicles ended up in a field.
"The van dropped copper piping along the road but that has now been recovered."
Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service attended to both drivers. One motorist did not suffer any personal injury, but the other road user was treated at the scene and subsequently taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital.
Reports do not make clear which of the two drivers sustained injury or how serious the injuries were.
Liability for the traffic accident has not been determined, but if the van driver was injured and the incident is found to be the fault of the car's driver then the victim could make a personal injury compensation claim.
However, if the crash is discovered to be the van driver's fault, then as well as the other driver possibly claiming against him, he may lose his no-claims bonus and find it difficult to receive a good white van insurance quote upon renewal of his cover.
